Content Modeling with Drupal
Drupal Austria
Show in appBeschreibung
This section covers the fundamental concepts and practices of content modeling in Drupal. Learners will understand how to design and implement a content architecture by creating content types, configuring fields, managing media and taxonomies, and defining relationships between different types of content. By the end of this section, learners will be able to build a structured, scalable content model that supports their website's goals, ensures content reusability, and separates content from presentation through the effective use of display modes and image styles.
Ziele
- Create and configure content types - Learners will be able to design and implement custom content types that match their content strategy and business requirements
- Add and configure fields - Learners will be able to select appropriate field types, configure field settings, and add fields to content types to capture structured content
- Understand the concept of nodes - Learners will be able to explain what nodes are in Drupal, how they relate to content types, and how Drupal uses nodes as the foundation for content storage
- Configure and utilize display modes - Learners will be able to create and customize display modes (view modes) to control how content is presented in different contexts (full page, teaser, search results, etc.)
- Create and structure taxonomies and terms - Learners will be able to design taxonomy vocabularies, add and organize terms, and implement them for content categorization and filtering
- Work with media entities - Learners will be able to configure media types, understand how media entities differ from simple file uploads, and integrate media into content types
- Configure image styles - Learners will be able to create and apply image styles to automatically generate different image sizes and crops for responsive design and performance optimization
- Design and manage menu structures - Learners will be able to create custom menus, understand menu hierarchies, and integrate menus into the site's information architecture
- Define relationships between content types - Learners will be able to use entity reference fields to create connections between different content types and build complex content relationships
