Description

User TSconfig is a TypoScript-syntax configuration system for the TYPO3 backend, applied to backend users and groups. It controls individual backend behaviour per editor or group, and can override page TSconfig properties.

Goals

• I know what User TSconfig is and how it can be applied.
• I know that configuration set at group level applies to all members of that group, and that a user's own TSconfig overrides group-level settings.
• I know the order in which user TSconfig is evaluated when a user belongs to multiple groups.
• I know the main top-level objects of user TSconfig: admPanel, options, setup, auth, and page (for overriding page TSconfig).
• I know the purpose of the setup top-level object for defining default and locked (visibility, readonly, etc.) values for user settings.
• I know how to define the default live search action.
